Adrianna Valencia Artwork

Adrianna Valencia was born in Orange County, California in 1992. Since she was first able to hold a crayon in her hand, she has loved to draw, and later discovered her love of painting. Now a fourth year English major and Studio Art minor at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, Adrianna continues to take art classes and foster her love for art.

Adrianna typically paints in the realist style mixed with surrealist influences. Since taking art history classes during her career as a student, Adrianna has been inspired by significant artists from the Renaissance to the Art Deco period to post-modernism. Her main artistic influences are Tamara de Lempicka, Vermeer, Ralph Steadman, and Basquiat. Adrianna's multiple series of works depict many different themes and concepts, from the emergence of new society and culture based on memories of the past, to the creativity and latent thoughts concealed in the human mind. Most of her paintings incorporate both man-made and natural subjects in order to illustrate the synergistic qualities of opposites.
